| They
come from Sweden, and they sound a great rock'n'roll:
modern, energetic and funny. The Babylon Bombs are one
of the best revelations in 2003. Dani (vocal, guitar)
and Jon (guitar) answer to our questions...
Hi guys, so you 'Promo 2003' has
some awesome songs. What gives me the most positive
impression are your sounds, updated and powerful. That
is rock'n'roll but towards 2004 and the time that will
be... what can you tell us about this?
 Dani: Well, we're influenced
of bands from the 70's and 80's hard rock scene but
we still want our sound to be fresh and up to date,
so it's cool that you point that out 'cause that's the
result we wanted. Pure fine Rock 'n roll with a fresh
                          kickin' sound.
  Which are the main differences
between your first demo 'Ten things you can't live without'
and the latest 'Promo 2004'?Dani: Dude
A lot!
Thou the main thing I think is that we've grown into
the style we're playing today. In the beginning we really
didn't know which direction our sound should take us.
  Is there any composition you
feel more closed to? If there is one, why?Dani:You know when I write
a lyric it often doesn't mean that much to me at first,
but when you read it a couple of days later you see
that you've wrote stuff in the lyric that really means
something to you. Crucify is very personal for me, pretty
deep lyrics on that one but most of the lyrics are just
                          pure rock'n'roll lyrics
You had a really bad experience
with a Swedish label that just broke up the work when
it was almost finished. What can you say most precisely
                          about this?Dani: Well Bruno
We
got framed! There are a lot of shit talkin' ass kissers
                          in the bizz!
 After this (mis)adventure what
are the advices you would share with younger bands?
Is there any way to escape to the lack of honesty of
some characters?Dani: Try to be as straight
forward as possible at all times, lookup everything,
                          ask about anything
The sad thing is that you always
                          have to be suspicious.
But you never gave up. Think
we can resume it in 'no pain, no gain'. That is, you
suffer because of others faults or misadventures but
you can go on and fight against it, in the end you will
end up being stronger and more pissed off than ever.
How did these moments change you, both in human and
                          artistic terms?Dani: During this time,
when everything came over us and we saw the fact that
this f*#&er were bailing out it was pretty tough.
You know, you put your time, sweat and soul into it
and then it just stops. In artistic terms I can only
refer to this as an injection. After this event we're
even more eager to get our music out to the masses.
One of our new songs is called "Low, broke &
                          pissed"
You figure

In your DNA there are 'The Hellacopters',
'Backyard Babies', 'Hardcore Superstar' even if you
can add your personal style to your songs. What do you
think about these bands? Which are the bands that mostly
influenced you?Dani: I have to say they
are all good! The 'copters are really easy to listen
to and they've got really good songs. I think our style
is a little closer to Backyard than to the other two,
that's probably because we both have grown up listening
to Guns'n Roses, L.A. Guns, Faster Pussycat etc.
How do your songs get alive,
is it a team work or only from one of you? There is
a more frequent procedure you usually use to write?Dani: Most of the time
I've got an idée of a song and then I bring it
to the rehearsal and we jam on it 'till it feels good
and solid. I think that's the most frequent procedure
but the other guys brings idée's as well!
 How important is Internet in
your opinion? Your website is absolutely detailed and
I think you give to it a lot of significance to spread
your image. Which is your opinion about it?Dani: I have to say thank
you 'cause of the fact that I'm maintaining the site!
Yeah, I think it's very important to have a good site
with all the info that you yourself would like to find
on a site. It's amazing how easy it is for a guy down
                          in
Let's say Italy to listen to a Babylon song
today if you compare it to the situation about 10 years
ago. Jon: If it wasn`t for the Internet this interview
probably wouldn`t been published... So the internet
is a good way to spread your image..
On the other side there is the
endless problem of mp3 and downloads. Which are to pros
and the cons about this matter?Dani: This is a hard question,
I have to go to myself on this one
 If I download
                          a song and think "man
 these guys r cool!"
I probably will buy their album later. But without the
mp3 I would probably never ever heard them. Jon: If
it can be used as promotion and make people buy more
records it`s a good thing.. to bad that most people
downloads mp3:s instead of buying the records
From the bio I've got, it seems
you are looking for a label. Any updated news about
this? We are all waiting for your album, any advance
                          information?Dani: We're working together
with a lady called Eva Karman who runs KarGaz Music
in Sweden, that's all I can say at the moment
  Favourite porn star, drink,
5 top albums of ever...Dani: Porn star, that's
                          easy, Jenna Jameson. Drink
 BEER! Albums, hard

this will probably change tomorrow, here it is, in no
particular order: Motley Crue - Too fast for love, Poison
                          - Flesh 'n blood, L.A Guns - L.A Guns, D.A.D - Soft
dogs, Pride and glory - Pride and glory.
 Jon: Pornstar? well.. That`s
though.. Nut Dani has a good taste, Jenna is a
talented girl... Beer is always good... I really don`t
like to answer the last question cause it will probably
                          change in an hour anyway..

So let's speak about your live
performances, which are the shows you still remember
                          with more pleasure? And why...
 Dani: You know
Every
show is ass kickin' from the first to the last song.
It's important to give the audience a rockin' live show,
hell, these guys have paid to see you perform.
 Jon: That`s true... And
we love to perform... Every time!
 Ok, let's conquer the Italian
girls. What would you like to say to them?Dani: We're Swedes, do
                          I need to say more?!
 Jon: I probably would say;
"you girls all look beautiful" at least to
                          the girls who look beautiful..
Ok our time is running out, free
space guys...final greetings and... Whatever!Dani: First of all, thank
You Bruno for taking the time to do this great interview.
                          Second
We hope we can come down to Italy soon and
fuckin' rock 'n' roll all night! We get a lot of good
response from you guys! Italy rocks!
 Jon: Hey!! It`s my turn
to say Italy rocks!! Italy Rocks!!!
