Here's Lynda Mess from Fabulous Disaster! It was a long time since I asked her to take part of our Rock Girls team, and finally here she is. Sorry for being late in updating this section, but I suppose you won't be that angry.

Hi Lynda! We're very pleased to have you here among our Rock Girls! Tell us something about the songs included in your new EP, we would like to know about their source of inspiration, their meaning, etc..
Thanks for having me, your website is the bomb! (laughs) The new Ep is called "I`m A Mess" and it pretty much describes me to a T, (laughs) and I wrote it in 5 minutes, all the lyrics are personal. I had to dig pretty deep, feelings about certain relationships, anti-depressant drugs etc... now if I could only get happy again! (laughs)

I know you're going to land in Italy, what could Italian fans expect from your shows? Can you try to describe us what generally happens during your live performances. In your opinion which are the main differences between Italian and American fans?
This will be our third time to Italy and we love it so much, we`ve had a line-up change recently and I think our fans will agree this is the best line up yet!! We love the Italian fans because they love music so much and rock so hard, we can't wait to get there, we`ll be playing Rome on September 11th I think and Milano on the 12th and I think we`re playing Bologna too!! Can`t wait to see everyone!!

What could you tell us to explain the reason of the choice of your monicker?
Fabulous Disaster was taken from the movie Sid and Nancy it was Sally`s idea. (laughs)

Which bands of the past did influence you deeply, since the beginning of your career?
I`ve always loved the Beatles and the Muffs, also Guided By Voices and My Bloody Valentine, but we love other bands too like the Dickies, The Descendents, The Misfits, NOFX we listen to everything and influenced by life in general, that`s the best way to describe it. (laughs)

Is there any band on today's rock scene that you particularly admire for some reason and would like to cooperate or share the stage with?
We`d love to play with the Distillers, Brody totally rocks, and kicks ass like us, there's not enough female rockers out there anymore so we are filling the void!! We`d love to play with Alkaline Trio, Matt is a big fan of ours, I think we`ve played with all the bands I love the most like the Dickies, The Briefs, NOFX the Real McKenzies and Propagandhi!

Do you have any song you feel particularly close to? (not necessarily yours). Is there a song you like to hum when you feel blue, or when you feel happy, or under the shower…
"Waterloo Sunset" by the Kinks is one of the most beautiful, saddest songs ever written :) I love to sing that when I`m sad, I also love to sing "Gay Bar" by Electric Six, that gets me in a great mood and is an excellent par-tay song. (laughs)

What's your opinion about internet and about exchanging music on-line, sharing mp3 files and so on? Which are the best and the worst aspects of the net?
For unknown bands it`s great because it gets your music out there, 15 years ago, we didn`t have the interest and you had to go out to buy music at the store or send it via regular mail, now
everything is at your disposal, it`s funny how the richest bands like Metallica bitch about it and go after the little guy, personally I don`t mind it, I still sell records. (laughs)

Have you still got a dream unrealised? If it is so and if I may ask, what is it about?
To have a hit and to live off music for the rest of my life, hopefully that day will come, until then I am totally satisfied with what I`ve done with Fabulous Disaster and other bands I`ve been in. I`ve toured all over the world many times, got to put out kick ass records and have met so many cool people, to me that`s what it`s all about, so If I died tomorrow, I`d be super happy, although I don`t wanna die tomorrow, I got too much work to do now! (laughs)

Being an attractive girl in the rock scene has showed you also negative aspects? Do you find any problem in being a female rocker?
It depends on what you`re going for, sure we`re all female but to us image is important but not the most important, we wanna write great songs and be remembered for that, not as a novelty act, I still think women don`t need to show their tits to be a great rocker, but when it's hot at a show, you better believe me and Squeaky take our shirts off, oh yeah!

Choose one between these "be or not to be" options, and let us know the reasons of your choice...
Making disasters for free or making disasters for money:
Free is always better! (laughs)
Fuckin' enemies is good or making enemies is good:
Fuckin^enemies is good! (laughs)
Real sinners or false sinners:
Real evil sinners! (laughs)
Look or music:
Both.
Too drunk to fuck or drunk enough to fuck:
Drunk enough, no one wants a limp dick, ha!
Snow blind or sweet leaf:
Snow Blind!!
Italian food or Chinese food:
Italian Food, duh!
Sex without love or falling in love:
Both.

I know you've been on tour with these bands: NOFX, The Ataris, The Dickies, The Real McKenzies, The Briefs, Mad Caddies, Bouncing Souls and more. Can you tell us something particularly memorable occurred during one of your gigs?
I was so drunk and having so much fun, there's so much to tell you, I loved it when we were doing the Deconstruction Tour here last year and I got to play guitar every night with NOFX on the song "Decline", I felt like a total rockstar and the kids go nuts, I sang on the last Mad Caddies record, they are great friends of ours and they totally rule! The real McKenzies are like our brothers and we love them the most!! And what can I say about The Dickies… Leonard is one of the biggest loves of my life and they are my favourite band, I fell in love when we toured Japan with them!!

Which is the craziest thing ever done in your life?
Jumped in front of a truck, drunk!

And now the hottest question (u're free not to answer): where's been the freakiest place made love in?
Oooh la, la, in cars and in the cemetery, how goth is that! Hotel balconies are hot too! And movie theatres! (laughs)

What could you tell us about S. Francisco rock scene? Is there any band you like the most or that you don't like at all for some reasons?
San Fran is hurting right now in the music department, I have to give props though to us of course and my husbands band Gulity Party, they are the unknown gems of the San Fran music scene.

Which is the best part of your being musician, the life on the road or the studio's rehearsals? Explain us your opinion.
Life on the road baby! Great people, great food and drink, meeting vikings, meeting other bands, laughing in the van, drinking wine at 2pm, driving through the alps and thanking god I don`t have a day job, we are doing all the things that other bands wish they could do, this is my 8th time over to Europe touring, I am one lucky bitch!

If you could have a love affair with an important personality of the show biz, who could it be and why?
I`m not at liberty to say that, I`m hitched, put it this way, there`s lots of people I would do, but can`t ha!

That was the last question and this is a small room to give you the chance to say whatever you want. Thank you for your kind cooperation and greet Italian Exploders as you prefer:
Thanks so much for the kick ass interview you guys, you rule, I want everyone to check out our website, www.fabulous-disaster.com and buy our new ep, "I`m A Mess". See you soon In Italy! Lots of love!
